How we counted

The cheapest price each vendor publishes

We use yearly billing, in USD, before tax. Webflow: $25 a month for each site with a CMS, and $39 a month for each full seat after the first. A person who only edits content can use a limited seat at $15. A client who edits their own site is free on both: a free seat on Webflow, and the free first collaborator on Splitleaf. The calculator counts only your own people. Framer: $10 a month on Basic or $30 on Pro for each site, and $20 a month for each editor after the first. Sources: Webflow pricing and Framer pricing.

Hosting is in the totals

The hosted builders include hosting. Splitleaf publishes plain static files to a host you choose, and you pay that host. The slider adds that cost to the Splitleaf total. Many static hosts have a free tier.

Why the difference is this large

A tool in a browser tab runs a server for every user, every minute, and the price has to pay for it each month. Splitleaf runs on your Mac or Windows PC. Questions about the numbers

Why is hosting a separate line for Splitleaf?

Webflow and Framer include hosting in the price of a site. Splitleaf never hosts your site, so you pay your own host. We show that cost as its own line so the totals compare like with like. Many static hosts have a free tier.

Why do you use yearly billing prices?

Yearly billing is the cheapest price each vendor publishes. It is the comparison that is least favourable to us. Monthly billing costs more.

What is left out?

Taxes, domains, and each vendor's add-ons such as localization, analytics and extra AI credits. We also left out Webflow's paid workspace plans, which many teams need. All of these would raise the Webflow and Framer totals, not lower them.

The license includes 12 months of updates. The app you bought keeps working and publishing after that. A future major version is an optional paid upgrade.
