Is Splitleaf really free right now?
You can try all features in Splitleaf for free, building out your site, connecting to github and hosting. When you want to publish the sit
What computers does it run on?
Mac and Windows. On Mac, any Intel or Apple silicon Mac running macOS 11 Big Sur or later. On Windows, any Intel, AMD or Arm PC.
Does it run on Windows on Arm?
Yes. There is one installer for Intel and AMD PCs and one for Arm PCs. Edge and Chrome give you the right one automatically. Firefox gives you the Intel and AMD installer, which also runs on Windows 11 on Arm.
Do I need an account to download?
Now you can download straight away, when you open the app you will be prompted to create a free account and you can start creating your first site
What happens to my sites after the beta ends?
Nothing breaks. Your sites are plain HTML, CSS and Markdown files on your own disk, with history in your own GitHub repo, regardless of pricing changes down the line.
Are AI features available?
Yes. Splitleaf includes an AI agent workspace. You connect your own API key and pay your provider directly, at its normal price, with no markup or credits from us.
Does my site live on Splitleaf's servers?
No. It lives on your computer and in your own GitHub repository. The source is a folder of plain HTML, CSS and Markdown files on your disk, and its full history is version-controlled in a repo you own, not one we host or control.
Do I need to be online to use Splitleaf?
No. You can design, edit and manage your site fully offline. You only need a connection when you want to publish your updates live.
Can multiple people collaborate?
Yes, both on a single site and across a workspace with multiple sites. Each collaborator needs their own one-time license plus the Team plan, $6/mo per person. That fee covers the real-time sync infrastructure that keeps your team working together.
