0.2.2

Your site folder now holds only your site and one settings file. It is the base for the updates to come. Plus: collections under page folders, links that follow URL changes, and Publish staging.

New folder structure

Splitleaf 0.2.2 changes how your site is stored. Your site folder now holds your site and one settings file, splitleaf.config.json. Each page keeps its status and SEO in its own file. History, chats and trash stay on your computer, outside the site folder.

Why we changed it

The folder is now only your website. You, your agent and any other tool see the same clean set of files, with nothing from the app mixed in. This is the base for the updates we have planned next.

Update your sites

The first time you open a site, Splitleaf asks you to update it. Every page, item and URL stays the same. The app keeps a copy of your site first, and puts everything back if a page would look different. Then publish the Site update change.

Improvements

  • When you change the URL of a page, folder or collection, the links to it change too.
  • Publish staging sends your staging site live as it is.
  • The app validates each value you save in a collection item.
  • Minor bug fixes.
